Wise words!
We got the main ingredient, lettuce. Lettuce represents reality. Lettuce by itself is bitter and difficult to swallow cause of the terrible taste and that’s why we add dressing. The dressing represents our masks. Our masks are those smiles, happy moods, and drama. That dressing helps us gain an…
It’s so funny how we set qualifications for the right person to love, while at the back of our minds we know that the person we truly love will always be an exception.
Thumbs up!
I happened to recall this particular quote:
It is sadder to find the past again and find it inadequate to the present than it is to have it elude you and remain forever a harmonious conception of memory. F. Scott Fitzgerald
Thinking about it brings back a host of unwelcome memories. Haruki Murakami hits the bull’s eyes when he said that “Memories are what warm you up from the inside. But they’re also what tear you apart.”
Anyway, I’ve got to stop granting so much power to the collective narratives of old which I have failed in, but it’s really hard when your mind constantly borrows the past to link up with present ideas. Friends sometimes hear my spontalk (short for spontaneous talk) and call me NO-LINK-MAN! haha we always have a good time laughing over those seemingly convoluted and random conversations, but I really mean it when I say that “everything has a link - you just don’t see it yet”.
And Soph has just reminded me that I have YET to start on my book. SIGH. I am such a master of procrastination when it comes to this. I have always wanted to write a book, but I lack the discipline to do so. Storyline, plots, ideas - they sit in the cauldron of my mind bubbling, evolving into wondrous concoctions, but I can never realise their potential. Should totally join a Write Club, of sorts, but have no idea if such an entity even exists. Distractions.
I need a focus.

(YES. These are the words I have been looking for to describe my dream!)
