Alright! I’ve come up with another word to use in tandem with ‘awesome’ and it is… ‘A*’! Sounds good, right? In fact, this new terminology can be used in even more creative ways! It can be used…

  1. singularly. It’s an A* for tonight’s dinner celebration! OR Tonight’s outing was A*!
  2. in tandem with ‘awesome’. Tonight’s awesome dinner deserves an A*! OR Tonight’s A* dinner was damn awesome!
  3. as a stack. Eh, ‘Wonder Foo’ is totally a C- please. OR Wow, fake Mel’s English name for Ye Wei was not bad at all… A-!

So yes, I shall start using it by saying that tonight’s dinner to celebrate Nette’s 20th birthday was an A** outing! :D It feels really great to be sandwiched between two awesome events - the buddy outing on Sunday, and now this fantastic celebration.

More potential A* events lining up this week are Scam Club Guys’ dinner, Yelin’s 21st B’day Party, The Amazing Maritime Race (with Dennis, Marcus & Vinod!) and, last but not least, Scouties’ Nights-out (Dinner & Movie)!

Such a heterogenous mix of awesomeness is likely to put this week in strong standing for the Week of the Year (2010) Award, a prestigious and suspiciously ethereal award that exists solely - or maybe not solely - to encourage myself to continue weaving magical memories into the worn fabric of my current life and to assemble pretty moments in convenient ways for future recollections. Spontaneity, Creativity and Awesomeness shall serve as my impartial judges!

Photos will be uploaded by Ben (though not so soon!). A brief chronicle of tonight’s dinner celebration - in my bid to immortalise particular events for remembrance, provided I am not too lazy/tired - includes:

  • Trying to scam/surprise Nette about the number of people coming to attend her dinner celebration.
  • Coming up with English names for Ye Wei, who got into Cornell to study Hotel Management! (Apparently it’s NUMERO UNO in the world for the course! A* please.) Oh, and we stopped the group fake Mel was with and asked them to think of the first English name that comes to their mind for Ye Wei. And the answer? Jacky. Nice.
  • Watching the cute animations of Plants vs Zombies, a game Mandy was enthusiastically promoting! (Wow, Mandy is quite a gamer for a girl eh. Thumbs up!)
  • Getting scammed constantly by Viv and Nette who kept getting Sean and I - we found out that we share the same wavelength for Korean food! - to try those ‘delicious’ Korean food that they ordered. haha luckily for us, our food choices were MUCH BETTER and NICER, so we didn’t die of hunger or something. ‘Dessert soup’ was no deal, friends.
  • Being amused by Yanjie, Shihua, Viv and Nette gushing over the upcoming Jay Chou concert. I can never proclaim to understand fanboys/girls. Ben, that includes you and your SNSD too!
  • Listening to Viv make quite an amusing comment about Kovan’s greeting to Nette when he first arrived. “Eh, I thought you were going to hug him.” haha you must be there to see it!
  • Spamming of the terms ‘housist’ (prejudice towards houses) and ‘multi-houscial’ (hehe that’s a rather cute invention!) as we took housist photos, made housist comments about housists who wanted to sit together for the Raffles Council 30th Anniversary Dinner (*LOOKS AT MR ACCUSINGLY*). HMM, and we conveniently forgot to mention that BB had already made similar plans the night before… Oops!
  • And many other memorable stuff which I’m too tired to write down now. Maybe I’ll update this spot again when my mind is less fatigued!

GOOD NIGHT (:
<3 27ths!
