Woo! I’m a great-grand-buddy now! (sounds rather old though… we were thinking of coming up with substitute names to disguise our very ancient-sounding titles!) Anyway, it was simply superb meeting up with the 27ths :D Really missed us - we’re hands down the most awesome batch ever!

So you would understand why I say I can’t wait for the Med students to finish their exams (they’re the last one to have exams I think) - it means we can plan for more 27ths’ gatherings, both mega and mini!

Anyway, back to my awesome (sigh, ran out of adequate superlatives - please advise!) buddy line. We took our traditional shot where we lined ourselves up in order and posed with our council batch t-shirt:

Welcome to our buddy line, Kristy! (We got Kay Hwee, our 24th, to join us for lunch when we realised that he was back in Singapore for a short visit! Timely, indeed.)

Went to Aston’s for lunch and met a million other people there. Chit-chatted and caught up a little as we

  • contemplated about the end of the world (my pet convo. topic these days) - seriously, I keep thinking that 2012 will happen, or something similar to the concept. If there were Olympics for natural disasters, this year must be some record-breaker. Just read the papers every day - you’ll notice how many “worst flood in X years” and “most powerful earthquake in X years” headlines there are
  • wondered how Kay Hwee is going to return to UK for his lessons/exams
  • surprised Tiddy (or at least I hope we managed that) with a simple card filled with heartfelt wishes (happy birthday again, buddy!)
  • observed how stunningly-fast Shanzhi eats (and him being seated next to Tiddy provided excellent emphasis :D)
  • shared some inter/intra-batch gossips (actually that was just Justea and I XD)
  • tried to find out more about our new buddy, Kristy
  • debated whether my blogskin was predominantly cutesy or intriguing. Of course, the impartial me provided striking pointers of how the highlight of the blogskin was the personality-defining words exchanged between the star-crossed lovers. I’m sure you’ll agree with me (: The cutesy part was just a… bonus.

It has been a tiringly-awesome day.
